Before you make a final decision on who will be helping you with your milestone event, an in-person or over-the-phone interview must occur. It is always a good idea to be prepared. A list of questions can help you determine which wedding planner is the best suited for you and your special day. Generally you want someone who is not only professional and organised but also makes you feel at ease and who you trust to have your best interests at heart. for this reason the first initial meeting you have with your potential wedding planner should be an easy conversation to determine if your personalities gel well together. A good planner will have many question sin order to craft the need and expectations of the client and the event. Whichever or whomever you choose, its important not to hire a wedding planner who imposes their own ideas and doesn't listen to your wishes and you do not feel at ease with.
History of The First People:
ReplyDeleteOur Amerindians were the earliest people to settle in Trinidad and Tobago and as such are celebrated as the First Peoples, the Indigenous Peoples of our twin-island nation.
There has been a continuous Amerindian presence in Trinidad for almost 11,000 years. The population included eight (8) ethnic peoples belonging to three language families.
• The Waraowitu and the Chaguanes who spoke Warao
• The Aruaca and Sheba who spoke Arawak
• The Nepuyo, Yao and Karina all of whom spoke the Carib language
• The Kalinago or Island Carib of Tobago who spoke an Arawakan language
Our ancestors owned and named many places in Trinidad and Tobago. Many of these names have survived to date such as:
• Natural features such as Tapana, Nariva and the Aripo mountains; the Aripo and Tamana Caves; the Caroni, Oropouche and Ortoire rivers
Arima and Siparia, two large Amerindian mission towns have given us our two oldest festivals: The Santa Rosa festival and La Divina Pastora.

ReplyDeleteI had the privilege of attending the screening of the 3 films on our indigenous peoples and it was well attended with approximately 100 patrons at each screening. It was heartwarming to view local director/filmmaker Tracy Assing's film "The Amerindian". A well documented account of the Caribs in Santa Rosa and their history.
